Hemogenomics is in the business of Collecting Blood Samples & conducting life critical Blood Tests at Hospitals & Labs. It conducts Blood Tests for AIDS (HIV), Hepatitis –B (HBV) & Hepatitis – C (HCV) using Panther Machines fed with labelled Blood Vials with unique codes to give test results in a flat file.
Challenge was in analysing the output of the Complex Algorithm, the time it consumed in analysis to decide the next step of action on the vial. Because these are life critical algorithm to decide whether a sample is a positive or a negative, the decision on the next step with the vial was to be taken by a dedicated medical practitioner. Needless to say the blood vial was to be collected from remote locations and had a definitive shelf life and limited by volume and Hemogenomics was required to perform all tests with definitive results before the vial could be discarded. This meant any scaleup was near impossible until the need for the practitioner removed or to say the least, reduced to mere verification of output.
